Comfort Tips for Pregnant Flyers

  1. Choose an aisle seat — Easy access to bathroom and more legroom to stretch
  2. Wear compression socks — Prevents swelling and DVT risk
  3. Stay hydrated — Drink water every 30 minutes
  4. Walk every 1-2 hours — Get up and move to prevent blood clots
  5. Wear the seatbelt below your bump — Across your hips, not your stomach
  6. Carry snacks — Crackers, fruits, nuts to manage nausea
  7. Request wheelchair assistance — Available free at all Indian airports

Medical Certificate Requirements

The fit-to-fly certificate must include:

  • Doctor's name, registration number, and signature
  • Expected due date
  • Statement that the patient is fit to fly
