At The Book Flight, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds for flight and hotel bookings made through our platform.
Important: All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted via email to sales@thebookflight.com for processing.
Flight Cancellation Policy
General Terms
Every booking made on The Book Flight is subject to cancellation charges levied by the airline, which may vary based on:
- Flight route and airline
- Booking class and fare type
- Time of cancellation relative to departure
- Specific airline fare rules
Note: Some bookings may be non-refundable as per the specific airline's policy. Please check your booking confirmation for details.
How to Cancel Your Flight
To cancel your flight booking, please send a formal cancellation request via email to sales@thebookflight.com with the following information:
- Booking reference number (PNR)
- Passenger name(s)
- Flight details (date, route)
- Reason for cancellation
Amendments & Changes
We assist you in making various amendments to your bookings, including:
- Date changes
- Name corrections (subject to airline policy)
- Route modifications
Amendment charges are subject to the airline's policy and vary based on flight timings and booking class. In some cases, you may need to contact the airline directly for amendments.
Last-Minute Cancellations (Within 24 Hours of Departure)
For cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled journey, we recommend you:
- Step 1: Contact the airline directly first
- Step 2: Send the cancellation request to us via email for refund processing
In case of direct cancellation through airlines, refunds will be processed according to the airline's charges along with our standard service fee.
No-Show Policy
After flight departure or in the case of a "No-Show," we do not entertain any cancellation requests. The refund amount is entirely at the discretion of the airline. We will refund the same amount to the customer that we receive from the airline in such cases.
Hotel Amendment & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Terms
Every hotel booking is subject to the cancellation charges levied by the specific hotel, which can vary based on:
- Hotel property and location
- Room type and rate plan
- Booking dates and season
- Advance booking period
The Book Flight may also levy a nominal service fee for processing the cancellation.
How to Cancel Hotel Bookings
All cancellation requests must be made via email to sales@thebookflight.com. Please include:
- Booking confirmation number
- Guest name
- Hotel name and check-in date
Last-Minute Hotel Cancellations
For cancellations within 24 hours of check-in, we recommend you:
- Contact the hotel directly before sending the formal cancellation request
- Forward the cancellation confirmation from the hotel to us for refund processing
Refund Policy
Refund Processing
The Book Flight will process refunds only after:
- Receiving a cancellation request from the customer through email
- Receiving the corresponding refund from the airline or hotel
- Deducting applicable airline/hotel cancellation charges
- Deducting our service fee (if applicable)
Refund Timeline
Permitted refunds will be processed within approximately 7-10 working days from the date we receive the refund from the airline or hotel. The time taken for the amount to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank's policies.
Mode of Refund
Refunds for air tickets and hotel bookings will be credited to the original mode of payment used during booking. We do not process refunds to alternate accounts or payment methods.
Partial Refunds
In cases where only a portion of the booking is cancelled (e.g., one passenger from a group booking), the refund will be processed for that specific portion only, subject to airline/hotel policies.
