Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) is the primary gateway to Eastern India. Its modern integrated terminal makes navigation easy for travelers.
Terminal Layout
Kolkata has an integrated terminal — one building for both domestic and international flights.
- Domestic: All airlines including IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Akasa
- International: Same building, separate check-in counters and immigration
- No terminal confusion: One terminal = no transfer issues
Getting to Kolkata City
- Metro (Blue Line): Airport → Dum Dum → connecting to entire metro network. Rs. 20-40.
- Prepaid taxi: Available outside arrivals. To Park Street/New Market: Rs. 350-500
- Ola/Uber: To Howrah: Rs. 300-500, to Salt Lake: Rs. 200-400

Pro Tips
- Yellow taxis: Kolkata's iconic yellow Ambassador taxis are available — use them for the authentic experience, but agree on fare first
- DigiYatra: Available at CCU — save time with facial recognition
- Rosogolla at airport: Don't leave Kolkata without trying Bengali sweets from the shops after security
- Early morning fog: Winter months (Dec-Jan) can have delays due to fog. Check flight status before heading to airport.
